Touble with CrushFTP on new dual G5 OS 10.2.8(G5)

I can't get CrushFTP to work at all on my new G5 - has anyone had trouble with this on OS 10.2.8 (new version) - I have a feeling it has something to do with Apple's security settings under the hood. Please help if you can - john.

I am asking myself, why you are using another ftp-server when you have a very good one implemented in macosx?
Use Share in your system preferences

Because I like to have a *little* more control over the server than what's available in the "Share" panel. - john.
