I run an Airport Extreme wireless network at home. We have 2 Mac and 1 PC that connect wirelessly to the network. During the week all runs smoothly. However, often at the weekend our Airport network cannot be found by either of the Macs or the PC. The PC however finds another wireless network which isn't found by either of the Macs. I think this network must be being run by someone else on our street but it seems to be causing our Airport network to fail. I'm presumming this because it only shows up on the PC's list of available networks when our Airport network is down. Any suggestions of how to resolve this very frustrating issue?

That didn't work? Change the channel on your Airport Extreme base station to one that is four or more units apart from that channel being used by neighboring base stations. That is, if they are using channel 11, you try 1-6. If it's channel 6 hey are using, try 1, or 11. You don't have to wait til your airport has a good wireless signal to do this. Control the base station through an ethernet cable and change the channels until you find one that has a steady signal. If changing channels won't be the answer, relocate your base station to another spot of the house.

you can use netstubler ( http://www.netstumbler.com ) on the pc to find out what channel each of the networks is using.
