| 10.1.3 is better!
I'm running 10.1.3 on a G4 Cube with 320mb ram. First Impressions (3hrs of use): . Thank you for speeding up the Finder windows! . General application stability seems to be improved. Additionally, however, a major speed improvement in the display of output in the terminal windows would be very welcome. Want a simple test? > time find / -name "*" -print The OSX claims the process only runs for about 3.93 seconds on my cube however, it takes at least five times longer than that for the output to display in the window. That really adds up over time. Ouch. If you like using the terminal a lot, which most unix-to-OSX users like myself probably will, this can lead to rising frustration. I don't want to use the L-word however, their terminal output is so fast sometimes I'm don't notice that the screen has updated even though I'm looking right at it. I know Apple can do better than those guys. Keep it comming, you are really making progress! |
