Imagine if Apple would've been the one to become big instead of Microsoft.
Imagine how they would've easily forget us "artists and light headed freaks"
Imagine how they wouldn't never need to think different.

Think of all the creativity that would've been lost (lack of tools)
Think of all the artists who choose the Mac because its the underground machine
Think how our world would be plain and unoriginal.

Now dont tell me Microsoft would've do it instead.
BECAUSE THEY WOULD'VE NOT SURVIVED !

NOW, I scream this outloud to all of you....

Lets enjoy our Macs and do what we do best, learn together,
share, have fun and stop comparing bites and bytes like our PC friends
do all the time.

Buying an apple computer was a bad decision. I definitely should have purchased a windows machine.

Advantages:
* better performance
* better stability (no kernel panic)
* support for audio cards
* price of os save about $150
* price of machine (save about $1k)
* more software (BEA Weblogic, Cubase SX, et c)
* better software
* more accessible to what everyone else uses -can trade files without hassle
* more features in the ui (search, location, cut & paste files)
* more frequent Java updates (Current Java version: 1.4, apple supports 1.3.1)
* J2EE

Disadvantages:
* Viruses
* ?

Most of the statements above apply to linux, which has many advantages over mac.


Apple users will vehemently defend their OS. I used to think that it was a decent alternative.

Is this why you're griping? Apple can't be blamed for poorly debugged 3rd party hardware drivers.

Besides, why did you buy a Mac if you have all of these complaints against them?

dhtmlkitchen is a Windowser getting a Mac do not make someone
think different, it can only makes him realize that the Mac is not for him.
All we can do is let him go back to the PC and be glad that he is going
to sell his Mac to an artist..

dhtmlkitchen, this is not to insult you, this is how YOU are, and THIS
is how WE are... We cannot really communicate and it is not a compatibility
issue, You are going to be WAY more happy when back to your PC community.
