Open Letter Mac OS X 10.4.3 upgrade

After making download of 10.4.3 I lost my Apple Works 6...I checked Forums and tried a solution. It didn't work so I tried Install disc 1 Bundled software and message read "disc damaged" I went to my local Apple store and experts checked disc, they got same message. Note: This is a new Emac with super drive that I have and I had never used the disc. The store experts ordered me a new copy, it took 10 days to get it. I tried the disc and and got the same message. I went back to the store and they again checked the disc and this time they found no problem with the disc and suggested I may have a Hard drive problem and I should bring in my computer. Before I had a chance to bring in the computer a new software upgrade to 10.4.4 became available. So to make a long story short I downloaded 10.4.4 and Now I got my Apple Works 6 back...If any one else had or has a problem like mine with the 10.4.3 upgrade, you might try the new 10.4.4 upgrade before you go thru all the hoops I went thru.
