Thumbs down Boycott MacMall??

I'm not sure which category to post this to,but I wanted to get some opinions on it.It seems that MacMall is offering free shipping(Up to $40) for items purchased between Feb13th,2003 to Feb16th,2003 which is a pretty good deal and would not normally make me mad. Then I decided to visit PCMall, where I found that they offer the same free shipping on purchases made between Dec23,2002 to Feb23,2003...That is 2 full months for PC products instead of 3 days for Mac product purchasers. For those who are unaware,PCMall and MacMall are the same company.

I know this kind of stuff happens all too often, but it really burns me,anyone else?

MacMall seems to set their 'Free Shipping' dates, and then at the last moment before it ends, they extend it for another day (or more). A little while ago they even offered free Fed Ex Express shipping!

I took advantage of a free UPS shipping rebate too, but my rebate dates were:
1-15-2003 to 1-23-2003

I actually hate rebates of all kinds (except "instant rebates".) I just don't like getting copies of receipts or cutting the UPC code off my beautiful boxes, and missing due dates, etc.

I would be careful shopping at MacMall. I bought some items from them with no problem...then 2 years later they send me a threatening letter demanding payment for the items that they claimed they never received money for. Lucky for me, I had kept good records and was able to fight them.

I'm planning to report them to the better business bureau because I have heard this has happened to other people.

Remember to keep good records everyone.
