Apple, hear my cries, DELIVER!

Like so many others I have bad experiences with Apple Store ordering. Why on earth can't you people make enough computers beforehand to meet demands? And if you can't, why not give realistic estimates as to when we get our newly ordered packages?

I love Macs. Mostly for the system and fancy extras you just don't find elsewhere, but my enthusiasm is weakened every time I have to deal with Apple.
Every time (this doesn't fail) I order something from AppleStore, either assembling, packing or delivering (or a nice combination of the 3) screw up.
It seems every time I call Appe Support I'm put on the phone with some person who knows less than me about what's going on, or doesn't understand the languages I speak.

Today I was notified that after a week of "assembling" my new PowerBook they discover they don't have enough parts, so I'm put on hold for a week or three. Honestly, couldn't I be told this weeks ago when I ordered? Or the ultimate situation; couldn't there have been enough 15" PBs made before the launch to meet the orders recieved within the first week? Or wouldn't this pay off?
I'm going to give you a new idea; you loose money if customers pull orders too.

This is a handeling of customers that I find intolerable. I don't like Dell, but if Apple can't deliver notebooks within a month of the order, other notebook manufacturers seem like a good option...

Concider this a cry for attention and change. The Apple experience is great, but the Apple Store experience is the worst I've had...

Seems like it was across the board. Check MacFixIt. They've been following the problem, and now Apple has acknowledged it also.

Delivered, but I still think it took a very long time...
The time thing really wouldn't bother me as much if they could just tell me how long it would take when i ordered. Somebody must have counted units...

I have no white spots yet, so that may be what held it back...and no dead/stuck pixels. Yay!
