| itunes 5 / new store features
Any idea when or where this will be introduced and what new features it will bring? I'm hoping for higher AAC rates 224 would be great. I don't think they would do something like 88 cents for AAC 128 99 cents for AAC 224 1.09 for uncompressed. It would really screw up the ease of use for the store however. The ability to download the songs video as well lyrics from itunes would be a plus. I also would like to see the ability to burn to DVD from within itunes. My libraries are so large that I would like to back up to a few DVDs instead of a hundred or so CD's. I would also like to see some improvement in the radio feature allowing for some searchable content like a Giants game or Nascar race. Of course Apple would have to strike some major deals so that they could carry these broadcasts. I hate having to go to different websites to find the radio stations that carry these broadcasts. I would like to just type in Xavier vs Purdue and itunes would be able to search which stations carry the game and can be streamed in QT over itues. What else is everyone looking for or expecting from itunes 5?

Good sugestions. The radio-part could really need an update since it looked the same for several years. i would like a mini-mode that hade the same interface as the i Pod (i.e. like the top of iTunes genre/artist/album but in one small square and instead of showing all the songs below, show them in the same window after you picket album. they could make it really easy to navigate with just the arrowkeys. think it would be super-fast and a lot of windows-guys that still hangs on to win-amp would probably like it. and i would like iTunes to automatically feel the BPM of a song so you could make smart playlists with all slow/fast/ultrafast songs without having to do it manually.

What about the option to use a physical FM or Satelite radio tuner from within itunes?

I doubt Apple will be using a higher bitrate any time soon. 128k AAC is doing just fine for the majority of music listeners, and for those who want pristine quality, they purchase the CD or SuperCD. A higher bitrate means higher bandwidth, so expect prices to go up if a better bitrate is used.
