Seagate 160Gig 7200 rpm Serial ATA HD

This is my first post on this board, I just installed a Segate 160 Gig Serial ATA HD in my G4. Great drive, really fast and reliable.

I'm assuming that you used a SATA PCI card to do so -- what brand was it?

Also, what kind of G4 and what interface were the other drives on? ATA/66? ATA/100?

Reason being, I have a ATA/100 PCI card with a few special edition 8MB cache drives connected to it... I'd like to know how much better the performance is with an SATA card and drives as opposed to my current setup...

I too am interested in both installing a faster Serial ATA card and large hard drive, but want to know if my investment is worth it.

What card did you use, how much was it and is there a noticable improvement in access speed and UI?
