| Satellite radio's new gadgets? Bundling with iPod, road maps and pause features are among items in the pipeline. December 15, 2004: 7:43 PM EST LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - After grabbing the spotlight by signing shock jock Howard Stern and launching a palm-sized portable device, hopes are high for satellite radio companies, which are expected to show off navigational, video and recording capabilities next month. Click here to continue reading. . . Well, that article says a lot! Armed with this information, would it not be feasible for Apple to bring satellite radio to the iPod via an addon accessory? Or better yet, how about a NEW Radio iPod that comes with an AM/FM receiver and a satellite radio receiver built-in. I think that Apple should make one Radio iPod model with photo capability and one without. Such a device would definitely be a little larger than it's cousins, but at least you could listen to radio with it. You would definitely need a paid subscription to a satellite radio service to use the satellite radio; perhaps Apple could sell this along with the Radio iPod as an option and make some extra money off of commisions this way. ![]() GO APPLE!!!

A radio iPod is something I have been wanting for a while. Perhaps not satellite radio- Personally I wouldn't be willing to pay for it, even if it is available in my area (although I don't deny that this would be a nice addition)- but AM/FM at least. The lack of such an option is actually one of the main reasons I haven't gotten an iPod yet.
