Next Apple PowerBook ?

The PowerBook HD, for film editors on the move... with a 1900x1200 screen (23"... extreme, but probably a very high end market niche with excellent added value... mostly if the machine can run on two G5 as it's large enough to include the radiators if the 17" one can operate with a single G5).

It would be cheaper just to buy a PowerMac setup like that, and spend the extra money on a Mercedes-Benz post-production van to move it around in!

Indeed... I seriously doubt we'll ever see 23" Powerbooks, at least as long as anyone on this board is still alive. Can you imagine what that would cost? And even that is way too big to be lugging around (this from someone who thinks the 17" is on the smallish side!).

You would carry your screen the way any graphic artist is carrying his drawings in a large and thin wallet on his side....

But of course it's just a dream... mostly if the new PowerBook is announced on next Tuesday.
