Help me out here....what's your logic behind the iPod ?

OK now,
for a long time we, macusers and people on the outside of the apple user lines, saw apple as a computer company, hardware and software to go with that hardware.

The iPod is *not* a computer (where the heck did you come up with that stupid name anyways ?). With this step you are taking a step towards being more diverse electonicswise. This is just out of the blue, what are apple's future plans ? Apple branded TiVo clones ? PDAs (which would be logical) ? Apple branded Cable or satelite ? What ? I do not get you!

Please explain your logic!

I dont think apple is in a position to be doing things other than computers due to market dynamics.
