Windoze: "choose icon", Mac: ?

When you create a folder, how do you choose what the icon is going to be?

I've got a "Documents" folder on my desktop, and I want it to have a little Document on it. Likewise I've got a "Photoshop" folder, and I want it to have a little picture on it. Just for effect .

And a couple of ancient Formac screens, only one of which is working at present. I had to save money somewhere didn't I.

'get info' for the documents folder (or any file/folder you like the icon of). at the top will be a small example of it's icon. if you click on this, you'll notice that's it's clickable: it gains a blue outline, it's highlighted. now press command+c, to copy it. edit will flash to confirm this.

do the same for the folder you want the icon on, but hit command+v instead of command+c, to paste it.

tada!
