"files inside a file?" You mean... "files inside a folder?" You can click on each one and rename them individually. If you'd like to batch-rename them, you can use A Better Finder Rename: http://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFinderRename/ Or, if you prefer cheap/free, use an Automator action: http://www.automatorworld.com/archives/batch-rename/

Try the pre-installed "Apple Script Utility". It's located in your Applications > AppleScript Folder. If you find yourself using it a lot, you can tell it to "Show Script Menu in Menu Bar" also. There are a few pre-made "Finder Scripts" for renaming in the Finder Scripts folder. They give you the options for find & replace as well as prefix or suffix. Does the trick for my simple renaming needs, but I'm not sure just how many options you may need. |
