| Watching wmv files on mac Every time I download a new one I have to click open with - always open with - windows media player for mac. Is there a way to always default their opening so I don't have to do this? Or is it best to convert them? And how do I do that? Cheers Matt |

| When you choose "Always open with" from the contextual menu (I assume that's what you mean), it only applies to the one file. To apply it to all files of that type, Get Info on the file (under the File menu), select the app you want to open it with, and then click the "Change All" button. That'll do it. And as long as we're on the topic of playing WMV files, you should download the free WMV Player for QuickTime. It's much better than Windows Media Player, which is now discontinued (even Microsoft now recommends WMV Player). |
