 New to the site and New to Mac
I have an iMac (17 inch) on the way(my first). Just need to a few helpful tips about set-up, usage, or whatever I might need to know since I'm a new Mac user. I havce only toyed around with one at the store. Thanks, Pat  |

Welcome to the Mac and to the site.  You'll be quite pleased with your Macintosh.As for information, check out the following thread which has a lot of the answers to questions you might have: http://www.macosx.com/forums/showthr...31#post1321431 Also remember, do not use Norton products on your Mac! Symantec hasn't supported Mac OS X with their Norton products for some years now, and even when they did it caused more harm than good. Hopefully you'll never have to, but if something happens with your hard drive we all recommend either DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro. Also, for general system maintenance I recommend OnyX.
