(Always) Open with...

Hello, just switch 4 days ago to a mac, and i will never look back, except at work

Anyways, both Mac\windows has the option to "Open with..." and you select the specfic app you want to use that file with, and they both have the option to "Always Open With...." but in windows this meant, any files of that same file type would open with that specific program you chose, but in the mac i can only do this one file at a time.

for example. divx movies, i like to use VLC, but quicktime is the default, if i chose, "always open with" on 1 file it works for that file, but not the rest of my divx movies, how do i change this?

Its easy,

Select a file of the type you want to change all of in the finder. Do File>Get Info (or Apple-i).

Under "open with" select the application you want, then press the "change all" button and voila!
