First of all, my post is 3 years old -- a lot of stuff can happen in an operating system in 3 years. What may have not been included with Mac OS X in 2006 may be included 3 years later in 2009. Second of all, I still don't see where cut-and-paste of files/folders in the Finder works... highlight any file on your Desktop, and the "Cut" operation in the "Edit" menu is still grayed out. So, I still stand by my original, 3-year-old conclusion -- there is no cut/paste of files/folders in the Finder a la Windows cut/paste. If you can do it in your Finder without 3rd-party add-on software, I welcome you to record a screenshot of it and post it here. If you still don't believe me, an easy Google search yields a ton of articles and threads about the (still) missing cut/paste of files/folders in the Finder: http://www.google.com/search?client=...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 Note that this has nothing to do with cut/paste of text. That's always been around on Mac OS X. It has to do with cut/paste of files and folders, like Windows does.
