Question Can't connect to the internet, DSL.

i just finished installing winxp into a macbook tiger.I cant surf the net. Im connected to a residential gateway and uses static ip. I went to LOCAL AREA CONNECTION PROPERTIES and theres no QOS packet shceduler and it shows there that it is using 1394 net adapter... i tried updating the driver, still nogo.

I recommend you limit your surfing to MacOSX, otherwise you'll end up with the usual Windows problems with viruses, worms, spyware etc.

Use Windows for the (few) things that MacOSX won't do (better).

I also recommend that you turn "Check Spelling as You Type" on in "Safari". You'll find it in the "Edit" menu. It'll help you to spot all those typos.
