| Been using Unix and Linux for a long number of years, however, this is my first time using a "Mac" :-) I just bought a Mac Mini 1.4ghz / 1 gig ram and am on it right now using my favorite browser (Firefox). Anyway, thought I would introduce myself at least and say hi! I'm really interested in learning Mac so I'll be lurking. Thanks, Tim |

| *ahem*.....Welcome to Macintosh. (I couldn't resist! )And don't give up your Linux/UNIX use either! I use Mac OS X on my iMac G5 and Linux on both my desktop PCs. I also have two vintage Macs (Quadra 650 hosting my website and PowerBook Duo 230 to tinker with) running an older version of the Mac OS (System 7.5.5) and they're chugging along happily. I even run Linux/ppc on my iMac G5....unbelievable how much faster the G5 performs under Linux, and it's fast enough under Mac OS X. But for intuitiveness, Mac OS X has it hands down. Again, welcome to the party. ![]()
