| iDvd transcoding speed I have just become the proud owner of a brand new black powerbook. After installing the necessary plugins, I happily proceeded to burn my first few dvds, and was surprised to notice that transcoding speeds were to say the least disappointing. on my 1-y-old compaq laptop, which has neither the RAM or the processing power of the powerbook, transcoding a two-hour movie from divx to dvd took about two hours , sometimes a little bit longer. Through iDvd, it took some 3 1/2 hours... Am I missing something?  |
