I usually just take the file out of Flash's temorary cache. This works the same in all browsers, with all web sites. Here's how to do it:

1. Load the video in your browser.

2. In the Finder, select "Go to Folder" from the "Go" menu, and enter "/private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/".

3. Find the files called flashtmpX, where X is a number. Rename it as "whatever.flv", and move it to wherever you want it (e.g., your desktop).

4. When the video finishes loading in your browser, just close it. Do not close it until it finishes loading.

If you have problems with step 2, it could be that you need to put a different number in place of "501", which is the default user ID in Mac OS X. Instead, go to "/private/var/tmp" and look for a folder named "folder.XXX" that you can open.
