Exclamation Graphics Card too good?

I decided to put this in this category instead of games because it's not game problem, but graphic card prob; and it worked on my old Windows 98.
I got this old game to work on CrossOver with DCOM98 components installed, and I also got it to work on a CrossOver bottle with win98 settings. This old game (Machines by Acclaim-1999) starts, I see the game menu for 2 seconds, but then it disappears I still hear the theme song going all the time. It looks like the graphic card is not optimized for this old game. How can I solve this problem? I would forever praise the person who would finally tell me how to get this stinking game to work on my MAC.
I got latest CrossOver version (7.1.1 I think)
The game uses DirectX6-6.1
Some extra info in pics.

Have you tried simply lowering the screen resolution?

^that seems like a likely solution.
But on a sidenote... are you sure posting your serial # is a good security measure?
