Darwin i86 help

ok, I know NOTHING about Darwin, Linux or Unix but I want to run Darwin i86 on my PC. I have Virtual PC on my PC and I was running Darwin in a window. It started up ok then said my computer has an unknown processor. Does it not work in Virtual PC? heres my PC specs:

Windows XP Pro
Intel Celeron 400
50X CD
40 GIG HD
128 MB RAM

should Darwin work?

and sorry if I sound a bit confusing, cause I am.
