Fink this ship yo! I can't get anything working. I installed XDarwin with XFree86 with the installer right off of the XDarwin website. Then I proceed to try and use Fink (Commander) to download some stuff (freeciv which I've even tried compiling myself and still doesn't work) and it tells me that XFree86 is not installed please install and try again! what the f man? I can't get anything working!! Someone please help

Fink only tracks software packages that it installs. It has it's own seperate management system. You need to install teh "virtual" package of xfree86 so that fink knows it's installed. You can do this: fink install system-xfree86
