Subversion Security

I am moving my web site to a new server that will have Subversion installed, and I am planning on putting some major projects on there that would be password protected obviously. However, does anyone know of any risks to this, by putting it on a public server? Right now I have it on my own local server, which can be accessed via a dyndns.org name, but no one but a few know the domain, so I'm not worried about it. But with the one on my web site, it will be a public address. Am I just over worrying?
