macjon is on a distinguished road
problem running X11 remotely to Linux (Mandrake 10.x) running FE prgm ABAQUS v.6.5

Hi !

Problem is concerning FE program ABAQUS v6.5

I just got a new laptop, G4 "15 1,67 Hz running 10.4.3, I'm in trouble running X11 to a linux cluster at uni. Currently everything works splendid with a G3 'wallstreet' running 10.3.9.

So what happends: first off i have both tried ssh -X and ssh -Y as well as changing the sshd and ssh config files to x11forward yes and x11trustedhost yes .
Also changed some less important settings to the same as the 'panther files'.
So First checking if I can get an xterm window once logged in > ok
Second trying to run different programs such as xfig, matlab, opera with ssh -Y > works
others such as xv, emacs, java, latex, gnuplot runs under ssh -X >works. So when hitting abaqus cae it starts the license manager > ok
but then quits due to:

ValueError: insufficient system resources

and then the kernel exits.
I'm lost, is there anyone who knows anything concerning X11 remote changing from 'panther' to 'tiger'

All help appreciated // Jon
