User Information On Startup

Hey,

Im developing a solution that grabs data from active directory. The client program is mean to be run at login as a login hook but we have come accross a small problem, login hooks are run as root and we have no way of gathering the real username. I need to find a means of getting the username of the user that just logged on rather than root 0.

Does anyone know where the mac kernel stores usernames during the login process?

Thanks
Any Help is much Appreciated

Mshindo
