| automount: problems connecting server Hello there! Currently I experiment with the automounter of OS X 10.4, with the aim to create something like a StartupItem that calls a script startin the automounter with a set list of NFS shares to watch. Basically it runs, but when I try to acces the share, I get the error "Operation not permitted". I can mount the volume with the mount_nfs command, but it can not be ejected later and only appears when the Finder is restarted in the OS X GUI. I would be thankful for hints on the following questions: 1.) The automounter is invoked with root-permision, what can be wrong? 2.) Will automounter have similar problems with the display of the shares as well (only appear after Finder restart, no manual unmount)? 3.) Is there a way to "hide" shares so that they do not appear on the Desktop and/or the sidebar of the Finder? Thanks for any information in advance ![]()
