    Want to adjust loudness of start-up guitar sound

    Is there a way to adjust the loudness using terminal?

    Don't think so. The startup volume depends on the volume set when the computer was shut down.

    Here's how to adjust your audio volume from an OS X terminal.

    Mute sound:

    sudo osascript -e "set Volume 0"

    Max volume:

    sudo osascript -e "set Volume 10"
