| X11 on Jaguar?
How do I install X11 on Mac 10.2. For the time being, I have chosen not to upgrade to Panther yet, but would like to install X11 so I can use OpenOffice. I have looked through Apple's site and it states I need Panther. I am currently running the latest version of Jaguar (10.2.8). Is this true?

you might try to install it anyways, or use something else called "Xdarwin". I'll try to install the X11 final and see if it works. All the betas worked on jaguar, so I'm betting this works too. [edit] nope, dosen't work. I don't know what they did with the x11 beta stuff eather [/edit]

There are older versions of X11, that do work in jaguar. I'll have a look if I saved a copy of 10.2's X11 on my external fw.

Apple's been removing all the beta stuff from their sites, but if you hurry, the one on the apple.com.au is still up! http://www.apple.com.au/macosx/x11/download/
