| SMTP/Sendmail isn't working after OS X Server reinstall Hey all, long time lurker here ![]() I have been running an Xserve on Jaguar for a while, had a problem where it started having DNSresponder errors so bad that I had to just reinstall the OS which, unfortunately, required a WIPE of the boot volume (trying to install plain old 10.2 over the top of a corrupted 10.2.8 doesn't work). I have all of my services back on their feet I think, but Sendmail is apparently down. I never had to touch this beastie before, but now it appears I am going to have to in some way. My php scripts which would normally send emails through sendmail on localhost are not sending the emails. I looked around and found "mail.log" and saw a bunch of errors which end with "localhost SMTP - ?" coinciding with the times that i ran the php scripts to test them. So i look in process viewer and see that sendmail isn't running. So what's the problem here? This ran just fine before I had to wipe and reinstall, why would Mac OS X Server 10.2 not fire up Sendmail? I thought it was supposed to always be running! Thanks for any ideas.
