Connecting To A Lg Xpression 2 Phone

AT&T and LG support could not figure this out. I want to transfer pictures to my Mac Pro running 10.9.5. There is a phone to usb cable included with the phone. Unfortunately the Mac does not recognize the phone using it. I next tried Bluetooth. The Mac sees it and the phone sees the Mac but the phone is listed as not connected. Someone must have figured it out. Please help.

The simplest (not knowing anything about LG phones), but the longest, would be to eMail yourself the pictures; one-by-one or in bulk if possible.

Then I assume it doesn't text either? When you get a new phone (hint-hint!), see if the provider, ATT in your case) can transfer your pictures to it.

AT&T gave me this phone two days ago as a free replacement for my old dumb phone. I will not use it to take pictures if I cannot easily transfer them to my Mac. Right now there is only one picture on it as a test. It does do text but Macs don't.

Well, Macs DO, at least in Yosemite. App is called 'Messages'.
If the phone can send a pic by text, Messages will work.

The LG phone has a MicroSD card slot. Maybe it will work to save a picture to a card.
Remove from your phone, and insert in a USB card reader for connection to your MacPro.

So I tried that. I sent via messages using my e-mail address. Nothing came through. Don't you need a SMS phone to receive these messages? How else can I send via messages if not by e-mail address?

Messages is tied to cell phone numbers and eMail addresses.
I like DeltaMacs suggestion better, though. If You can transfer pics to the card, the transfer would be a snap!

Well I tried using my e-mail address and no message came through. Taking out the sim card seems too difficult. I guess I will just give up using this phone as a camera.

I found the answer to use bluetooth. The usb cable must be disconnected to use bluetooth!
