    dell 1100 laser printer

FWIW - I just setup the same printer on a different Mac - G4 DP under 10.5.4 - and it worked just like it did the first time. If you are having problems, you might download Onyx and reset your printing prefs before trying to install and setup per my instructions. You may have more problems...

How do I install old Pagemill on Mac OS 10.5

You are not going to be able to install that on any machine that can't run Classic to begin with. 10.5 definitely doesn't support Classic. Depending on the iMac, it might. But still...chances are a lot of things have changed in the 10 years or so since Pagemill was last updated. Not to mention...

How do I install old Pagemill on Mac OS 10.5

Pagemill had to be OS9 only - so unless you've got an older mac that can run in classic mode - you are out of luck. Pagemill is also way out of date by now - and you'd be better off looking to a newer compatible app that's updated for today's interwebs.

is this hardware enough to try mac?

You're talking about trying a Hackintosh - or an Intel PC running a hacked version of the Mac OS, correct? The "Mac experience" isn't just about the OS. It's the combo of the hardware and OS together because the OS is built and optimized for known sets of variables in the hardware. I don't...

Dead Hard Drive? OS X 10.3 Boot Problems (12" G4 PB)

Disc Warrior should fix that - but I'd still be wary of using the drive again after recovering your data if it's making noise as described.

Dead Hard Drive? OS X 10.3 Boot Problems (12" G4 PB)

DiskWarrior works well. I'd highly recommend trying that. I've also heard of examples of people putting the drive in an external case and at least getting data recovered from it. If your drive is making a noise like that though, chances are it's a hardware failure. Save what data you can from...

    iBook shuts down

My PowerBook G4 (Al) has been doing this lately as well on all 3 of the batteries I have. It use to give me the warning at 10 minutes, and then go to sleep if I didn't plug in after it was down to 1 minute on reserve. Now, about 19 minutes of power left - it just shuts down. Nothing has seemed...

usb hub can it slow down my computer?

A bad hub or peripheral can absolutely cause problems! I've seen them cause Macs not to be able to boot at all until unplugged. As mentioned above - trial and error is the best way to find out if any one of them - or a combination - is causing your problem.

    dell 1100 laser printer

I know this is an OLD post - but since I just got one of these printers and had to track down the info to set it up myself (and it's not easy to find) - I thought I would share the solution. Setup your printer, connect the USB cable, and turn it on. Download THIS DRIVER from Samsung...

Migration Asst. Error - Damaged User Profiles?

I've got an iMac G5 17", 2GHz that was running OS X 10.4.11. We had a storm where the power flickered and then dropped completely, shutting down the iMac. When I rebooted it a day later, it wouldn't go past the gray Apple screen. I booted from the Tiger DVD and repaired permissions. Then I ran...

Can I burn mac software onto a cd with a PC

The question that needs to be answered is, is the software you are talking about just actual applications or Mac-specific installers? Because if they are applications, you wouldn't just be able to copy them over for a number of reasons. First and foremost, most applications rely on more than...
