There is an easy answer that you might like.
It's called NotLight and is freeware by Marr Neuburg; see his web page.
http://www.tidbits.com/matt/
It gives sizes and paths, and results can be sorted on these.
I used it extensively on Tiger because Spotlight for some reason was abysmally...
