    Driver: Mac OS X

I know that the race is over.... but I didn't know about that car......... so I thought it might be cool for the others to see the Mac-Mini-powered car :)

Newb wondering about security using built-in webserver

If Tiger Server supports FileVault, then activate that. This will create a Sparse Image of your files, de- and encrypted on the fly. This should pretty much secure all your files. Besides, I think the files inside the web server directory (htdocs) are more open to threats as all other files...

    Driver: Mac OS X

It's got the Tiger in the tank. MacWorld UK: Self-driving car is powered by "Tiger" http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/index.cfm?RSS&NewsID=12141 Team Banzai: Tech http://team.gobanzai.com/tech/ They understand truly what "Think Different" means.

    Leopard to Feature Redesigned Finder

I agree, it's too early, far too early to start to speculate or spread rumors about Apple's next thing. "Leopard" will of course have some very interesting new features, probably a re-write of Finder. Or maybe a new dock. Maybe a new GUI altogether. Who knows? It's supposed to come out...

Mac Helpless - does it actually *work* for anyone?

    Someone Say new Powerbooks

Well... I have an older PowerBook G4, even without SuperDrive, but Widescreen. Still, the newer ones make my one look so old and dated.... Does this make my PowerBook a retro one? ;-)

    5G iPods Soon?

The lighting on the two photos is clearly different. I don't think you can fake natural lighting in the surrounding area (you can achieve some great effects with Photoshop, but not entirely photorealistic).

    One more thing...

My iRiver H320 can already play videos (thanks to new Firmware), I also own a PSP which can also play videos of any size and length stored on the Memory Stick Duo (and of course UMDs) in MPEG4 format. So I don't really care if they gonna release an iPod Video or an iPod Crystal, iPod II or whatever.

I can do an smbclient -L without problems. Also ssh -l root works.

    Leopards rumours

None of the rumours sound really serious at all. They're saying nothing about the internals of the system, about some improvements on the code. The only thing to be true is that Leopard will come for both architectures, as Apple, as we all know, moves to Intel, while still supporting PowerPCs...

    G4 powerbook battery charge problem

Seems to be a hardware defect in the PowerBook. It probably needs to be replaced I think.

    Disk Capacity

First of all: There are no hard drives greater than 500 GB available in the moment. If you mean one of these uber-drives from LaCie, which have 2 TB in a portable case, they should work fine I guess. They work via FireWire, where there's basically no limitation in size, also, OS X/Server is a...

    .exe from camera

I do not believe this statement. USB works quite well for me in VirtualPC 7.0.2 in "Tiger". No problems at all.

    iTunes Sharing + iPod

That's exactly the reason why I will never buy an iPod again. I'd like to delete the music I don't wanna hear on the move, or put different songs on it. Was not possible with mine, so I sold it. That's not very innovative - to say the least.

    Fresh OSX install...

It is possible to spread the data on any partition you want. I have divided my 80 gig drive into two parts: System OS X, the other one's called Maindrive. The first one has only the system, the other one contains all my music, pics, websites, and even applications. You can do this in the Mac...
