Knowledge Level: Expert but stumped
Problem: Software
Computer Type: Steve Jobs, haha !
Model: Power Mac G3 All-in-one
RAM: 64meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
I've got one big problem with Microsob (Gates' company). Since I installed Office 98, I am stuck with a Microsoft Office 98 folder in the GoMac 1.5v3 menu, and after looking in the aliases, it is not there. It is in the same part than the Drives, Settings and Find menu. I can't remove it in any of the ways I know !

Tell me how.

Hi Michael, thanks for writing to us.
What you've discovered is actually a documented "feature" in the new GoMac. Fortunately, it can be removed...

Open a copy of GoMac with ResEdit.
Open the "STR#s" resource
Delete the resource ID "-13148"
Save, and use this copy for your GoMac. No more Office where it shouldn't be.

Take care, and let me know if this works for you.
