In setting up my DSL my iBook G4 required that I use a 128 bit hexadecimal WEP code. I've attempted to set up my wife's iBook G3 to use her airport to have accesss to our DSL. Her iBook doesn't accept the 128 bit hex WEP code. What do I need to do to give us both airport access to our DSL with both her G3 and my G4?
Thanks!

Hi Dennis,
There should be no problem using the same WEP code on two machines, I do it all the time on my home network.
You don't seem to have specified what system version you are using, but I have come across situations where you need to enter a dollar sign, $, before the WEP key to tell the machine the text is in hex.
If that doesn't work, there are always the standard checks, as in making sure you didn't have caps lock on, checking for zeros and letter O's etc.
If not that, try changing the key and entering the new one on both machines. Also, depending on your kind of router, it might generate several keys from the same phrase, so you could try using different keys on different machines in case your particular setup prefers it that way.
Any extra info you can give on your setup, system versions, router type etc etc will help.
Hope this helps. let me know how it goes,
owen
