hi,
i'm running 10.3.9 and i have an airport card installed, linked to a linksys wrt54g router (on a PC). following the instructions in this forum, i am trying to allow ports for azureus, but i cannot access the router page from my computer.

i type http://192.168.0.1, i get the java window asking me for name/password, but none of the combinations i know are working. i have tried:

admin/admin
(blank)/admin
admin/1234
my MAC user name/admin
my MAC user name/user password

i have also tried the names/passwords for the PC where the router is connected, but that does not work either.

does anybody know any other combinations?

It should be by default blank and admin as password. If that does not work as you stated then the next option is to do a hard reset on your device which should reset the password.

thanks for your help, matt. unfortunately, i still can't access the router from 192.168.0.1. let me tell you all that i've tried:

this is the setup: my ibook in my room, linked via airport to my sister's pc lynksys wrt54g router, on another room.

hard reset the router. still no access for 192.168.0.1

i take my ibook to the other room, plug it directly into the router (as opposed as using the airport card), but can only log in as 192.168.1.1. manage to change the port settings as 192.168.1.1

azureus is working fine now (by fine i mean much faster, which is the whole point of all this.)

another hard reset. now i log in using my airport card. cannot access 192.168.0.1 (in fact, i don't even get the java window), but still can access 192.168.1.1. azureus still working fine.

go back to the original set up, that is i move my ibook back to my room, log in using my airport card. now it's back to square one: can no longer access 192.168.1.1, i get a window for 192.168.0.1 but no password combination works, and azureus is not working.

in short, i still cannot get the router to change the 192.168.0.1 settings, because i cannot access it from 192.168.0.1, which i imagine is my computer. this is most annoying because once i'm in, changing the port and making azureus speed up is no problem.
