PROBLEM: Combination
COMPUTER TYPE: IBM
MODEL: Pentium I 133
RAM: 32meg
OS VERSION: Windows 98
SERVICE PACK:

DESCRIPTION:

Since I've upgraded to Win98 I've lost the
ability to implement any 3Dfx or DirectX
programs. I have an accelorator card "Intense
Voodoo" from Intergraph. They have not been
able to figure it out. They suggest backing
up and reformating the entire system. Do I
have any other less drastic ways of figuring
this out. Could it be that a Windows98 driver
patch solve the problem?

Hi Mark...Welcome to No Wonder.

Don't reformat just yet. Keep that option as a *last* resort.

Have you tried re-installing DirectX (use DirectX 6.0) and your 3Dfx software after you installed Win98?

If so, then remove your 3dfx card from Device Manager and reboot. Windows should redetect it and set it up. Then install DirectX 6.

Let me know how it goes.

Pete
