My airport card has started to become inconsistent. It seems the wireless range has become significantly smaller in a short amount of time. I used to show all wireless accounts in my building, and now only mine shows when I'm within 25 feet of the router. Is it possible for airport cards to lose their effectiveness?

Hi Jay

Yes, it is possible.

I would take the card out, make sure the card and slot are clean and reseat the card and see if that help. Make sure the antenna wire is secure.
