Description:
I'm looking into the ALPS MD-1300 for my business and I have a question that ALPS seems hesitant on answering. Since their printer connects via the SCSI port, instead of having a MAC standard serial port, can it be accessed across the Appletalk network?
I've never tried to access a SCSI device connected to one of my MACs from another MAC before, so I'm not sure if this is possible, or how it is done.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
If it can be done, ALPS is the one to know. This requires a special piece of software. Apple has Color Share, which does this for serially connected printers.
I think you should have very good reasons before buying that ALPS instead of _any_ other printer. (Never heard about it; I guess it's some pro-pro gear? RIP?) This sounds like trouble.
