Dear Frank,

I am not sure what you mean by "Apple-os X" icon. However adding and removing items from the dock is easy to do. So easy, its not uncommon to accidentally remove something from the dock. Good news is, its just as easy to add that item right back in the dock.

A) To remove items from the dock, click one of the icons and hold the click, Drag the item out of the dock. This will not delete the item, only remove its shortcut from the dock.

B) To add items to your dock, find the original item, and drag it into the dock. A shortcut will now appear in the dock.

C) To rearrange your Dock, just click and hold on an icon in the dock , and drag to the desired position in the Dock

Click on your HD icon on your desktop, so that the file navigation window opens. (Also known as the "Finder Window")

See the small box in the right hand corner with a small magnifying glass in it? That is the file search window. Type in the name of the file you are looking for. (Even partial matches will work, so you can type in part of a filename if needed) On the bottom pane you will see where that file is located. Click on the folder, that is enclosing the file. It will open a new window to that folder, so that you may navigate to the item you were looking for. Find your original file you were looking for and drag it back in the dock.

Let me know if this helps.

Ahhh, the URL link!

In Safari, go to the following address:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/

Then drag that URL down into the Dock, next to the Trash icon.

Let me know if that works for you?
