Description:
My system has started to shut down automatically during startup. After the CP's and extensions load, the system is apparently getting a shut down command. I can work around it by using the shutdown delay CP and setting it to a long enough delay that I can cancel the shut down before it happens. That is obviously not an accepatable solution. I have rebuilt the desktops (I have a 4.5GB disc partitioned into 5 disks, one of them the startup disk), zapped the pram, clean loaded new system software, etc., to no avail. It even shuts down if I try to start with extensions off. The system WILL start normally from a Jaz disk with the same system software. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

Thanks
John

Suggestion:
Look in your Startup Items Folder (located in your System Folder) and see if there is a culprit file or alias in there.
