TICKET ARCHIVE -> .bin Files

When downloading movies that .rar files they usually resolve into .avi files. One I tried did not, it became a .bin file. My recollection was that these were simple binary files but nothing seems to open it inc. Stuffit 7. I cannot locate any information using google that doesn't refer only to Windoze. Any suggestions for apps that can handle this?

VLC will handle .bin-packaged movies natively.
