I am a beginner. I am thrilled with my Mac. How do I delete unwanted bookmarks on Safari?

Thats a easy one, On the bookmarks bar you will see to the left a icon that looks like a open book click that, and it will list all of your bookmarks in the browser window. highlight the bookmarks you wish to delete and gotot he edit menu and select delete.

Thanks for rapid reply. When I click on Bookmarks I get the complete bookmarks list, yes. But then I do not seem able to hold the mark (or highlight). I either click it and get the page, unwanted, or move the curser and loose the list! What else do I need to know?

Do not click on the bookmarks menu across the top. Click on the open book icon below the back button on safari itself. and then follow my directions.
