Problem: Combination
Computer Type: Apple
Model: Quicktake 150 Camera/G3
RAM: 65+
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
Hi-
I have recently got a G3/300 with 256 meg's of ram. I have installed my quicktake 150 camera software and have tried to use the camera. When I access the camera through the control panel, and click on the connect to camera, the computer freezes up-completely!
The G3 has the 8.1 OS. Is there a compatibility problem? Is there an upgrade for the software? The camera works on a 6400/200 and a 638CD without a problem. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your time and assistance.

Al Martin

Hello Al and Welcome to No Wonder!

You didn't say which version of the QuickTake software you are using. It's possible that updating to QuickTake 2.0.2 will resolve this error condition. There is an incompatibility between the Quicktake cameras and G3 Macs that's usually solved with this update.

Quicktake 2.0.2 is only available through Original System Software Fulfillment (SRF). For more information on System Software Fulfillment (SRF), see TIL Article ID 22139: "Original System Software Fulfillment" .

Let me know if this helps,

Kristina
