Knowledge Level: Intermediate

Problem: Combination
Computer Type: Apple
Model: 8500/233
RAM: 65+
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
I use a LaserWriter Select 360 and a few weeks ago started having problems with larger files or too many items in the print cue (I think). I current have some pages in a document that I have printed previously that now quit with a -8133 PostScript error. I have tried printing in the foreground, printing one page at a time, restarting the printer and I forget now what else. My current graphics page is an 8 1/2 X 11 Quark Xpress document with a full page Postscript image. Out of curiosity I saved the printer file and it is 1.6 MB. My printer has 7MB of installed RAM, but only 1.3MB available according to the “get printer configuration” command. Is this correct? Is something wrong?

Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

have you tried increasing the RAM partition of the Print Monitor? open the system folder, open the extensions folder, click ONCE on the PrintMonitor app. Go up to File->Get info. Double the amount of RAM used in the Preffered size box. Now try printing large doc's.
