I am new to the digital photography and owner of a 17" powerbook G4. I consider buying an Canon Ixus 400 digital camera. But as I noticed on MacOs.com Canon is not very friendly for Apple users.
True or not true, help me out!

Hi Jeroen,
this is not true... You can download drivers for mac os x on the canon website, whic means that the camera will definetly work with your powerbook. Some people get the impression that canon is not very user friendly as a whole, but that is only because their policy is different. They put new techniques in their products as soon as they are there in order to give optimum quality. HP on the other hand waits with new techniques, because they think that the market is not ready. HP goes for user friendliness.
However, if you want quality go canan. I have never experienced problems with canon. (And if you need support, there is still macosx.com ;-)
Hope this helped...

It sure did, but is Canon also ready for Tiger (since you just got one in my powerbook)
by the way thanks for your reply.

there is no real difference between tiger and panther in this case. If you want to import pictures just use the Image Capture app or iPhoto.
