Description:
I installed the cd rom fix that apple put out and now the cd rom won't let me use the williams sonoma cooking cd that came with my iMac. it keeps displaying a message saying "reset screen resolution to original settings. i try to change the resolution and colors but that does no good. help please.

Hello Dallas and Welcome to No Wonder!

First off, it's important that you restart your iMac after installing the CD ROM Update, try that if it hasn't been done already.

If that didn't change things, try restarting your iMac with your Extensions set to the System 8.1 only set from within your Extensions Manager. Then give your CD a try to see if this did it.

Still not working? You should try zapping your PRAM by restarting while holding down the Command, Option, P, and R keys all at the same time until you've heard three or four startup tones.
